Your Opportunity

As a Maintenance Planner, you are responsible for coordinating scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across Approved Maintenance Organisations, ensuring ongoing compliance and operational integrity of the Jetstar fleet.

Reporting to the Lead Line Planner, you support maintenance planning, disruption management and aircraft allocation, while maintaining compliance with CASA regulations and internal procedures. The role involves overseeing TRAX work packages, analysing technical and cost considerations, supporting investigations, and ensuring accurate aircraft standards to drive safe, efficient and cost‑effective outcomes.


You’ll be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Maintenance Operation Centre (MOC) in providing on-going compliance control of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activity 
  • Maintaining compliance control of all work packages issued via TRAX 
  • Demonstrating commitment to CASA and other industry regulatory authorities that continued airworthiness management and company standards can be sustained by sound process and procedures as detailed in the Maintenance Operations Procedures Manual 
  • Providing Engineering input to Jetstar Operations Control Centre (JOCC) decision making processes for disruption management 
  • Assisting in the control of schedules with the Aircraft Allocations Coordinator 
  • Investigating and reviewing serious incidents and assisting in the implementation of corrective actions 
  • Maintaining accurate aircraft standards to support optimised planning outcomes 
  • Analysing technical, costing and planning issues with responsibilities for establishing standards, direction and ensuring technical / commercial / cost effective performance. 

We’re on the hunt for somebody who has: 

  • A detailed understanding of Aircraft Line / Base Maintenance and Operations 
  • Experience in Aircraft Maintenance Planning 
  • Ability to communicate & negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Understanding of TRAX, CAE Movement Manager and Microsoft Office applications 
  • Highly motivated and committed to continuous improvement 
  • Able to build effective working relationships and thrive in a team environment
